Who is a 15 month old very special little girl. Daphne is totally blind. She was born with genetically detached retinas. This means she was born with sight but immediately started going blind. She has been totally blind for most of her life now. Other than this, which requires some drops daily, she is totally healthy.She doesn't know that things are different in her world. She runs, jumps and plays and loves all things that normal bullies love. She does not need sight to see your inner beauty and know that her biggest desire is to drape herself over you and snuggle with you for hours, or of course, chew on you, that's lots of fun too!!! Once you build a bond with Daphne and she learns to trust you to guide her she will walk on a leash with you. She does bump into things sometimes in her excitement but just turns and goes the other way. This is a normal thing for her. It takes some getting use to but you realize that that's just the way she thinks things are supposed be.
As you can see from
the photo, she loves to be in the yard and plays an outstanding
game of hide and seek. She has the best hearing of any bully I
have ever met and can find you no matter where you hide!!!!
She will need a home with no stairs or at least the ability to
be on the main level at all times. There should not be more
then a step or two to get outside. You will need patience
because at times it takes her a while to figure out what you
want of her.
The perfect Daphne home would be one with no other dogs. She
gets along with other dogs but can be jealous with them over
attention. One that has no stairs, or the ability to stay on
one level with stairs blocked off. Only one step or maybe two
to go outside to the yard. In her perfect world someone would
be home most of the time. She likes frequent potty breaks.
If you have a big bulldog heart and are willing to give that to
our Daphne we would like to hear from you.

Zieka Zieka came from a local shelter. We got the call because they had decided not to try to place here and we were her last chance. Zieka is probably a Bulldog/Boxer mix, she is not a pure-bred Bulldog. She was so frightened in the shelter that she wouldn't let anyone take her out of the crate. Once we arrived she came out of the crate for us and we could see she was scared to death in that noisy place. We decided to give her the opportunity to find a new loving home. She has turned out to be a very nice girl. She is small, weighing around 40 pounds and she can dance and jump really high for her meals. She LOVES her food. She has a very nice personality and wants to do the right thing. She is very smart and you only have to show her something a time or two and she figures out what you want. Zieka has been recently spayed and is current on her vaccines. We have found no health related issues with her at all.
Zieka is a very pretty girl and loves attention. She will make a great addition to the right family. If you have a place in your home for "not quite a bully" we would love to hear from you. |
