| Adopt a Bulldog from On The Rebound |
|
We are committed to restoring the health and well-being of our rescues. As soon as we get a bully, we take him or her to our vet. All our rescues are spayed and neutered before we place them. Any bulldog we place with his or her new family will live a wonderful life! We keep our rescues in our homes until they have been temperament-tested and had any needed medical treatment. We find out what the bully tolerates, like children, other dogs, or cats; we also look for any signs of hostility regarding food, toys, or other dogs. From this information, we write a personal profile to help us find the perfect family for this particular dog. Our on-line questionnaire is the first step for potential adopters. From this, we get a sense of what you are looking for. We review the questionnaires, and, from the information, start a schedule of telephone interviews. We then introduce you to our bulldogs. We watch your interaction and interview you while you are at our homes. When we place a bully with you, we give you tips on bulldog care as well as help in finding a vet in your area who has bulldog experience. The applicants approved by our board will be kept on file and matched with rescues as they become available. All applicants must be 21 years or older. We are proud because our motto is "It's All About the Dog!" We match the owner to the dog. We consider the dog's temperament, any past experiences, age, and physical condition. We place a rescued bulldog on a two-week contingency basis. We will follow up to find out not only how the new dog is adapting to his or her new family, but we are always available to answer any questions: We do not ship our rescues. We are located in Virginia and Maryland and we expect that you will travel to be considered for one of our precious dogs. |
